Getting to Geilo
Location
Geilo ski resort is Located in the Hol municipality of Norway. The nearest international airport is Fagernes although flights the services to this airport tend to be charter flights only. Regular scheduled flights are available to and from Oslo and the regular buses and trains from Olso to Geilo make this a more popular choice for independent travellers. The journey from Oslo to Geilo takes around 3.5 hours.
Driving Directions from Oslo to Geilo
Leave Oslo on the E18 to Drammen once you reach Drammen you need to change to the E134 to Kongsberg. From Kongsberg you can follow the Rv40 all the way to Geilo. The journey is 240km and generally takes about 3.5 hrs. For an alternative route from the E18 exiting Oslo follow the E16 north then turn onto the R7 to Geilo.
Getting to Geilo by Bus
Buses between Oslo airport and Geilo run from December to mid April in line with the ski season, online booking of these buses is available.
Getting to Geilo by Train
